There are times in your life when you pinch yourself and ask yourself, "Is this moment for real?"
"How did I get so blessed?"--and there are times when the long, hectic days get sooo hard you ask yourself "How will I make it through another day?"
A couple weeks ago--it was a beautiful fall day--the leaves in my sisters front yard where covering her whole yard! I knew this would be the perfect backdrop for some "mommy and daughter" pictures. That day as I played with her in the leaves and snapped pictures of her innocent hands touching the leaves---I kept thinking what an amazing, almost blissful experience it is having a daughter. When I tell mothers of older girls, they always say, "Just wait--they turn out to be monsters as teenagers!"---I know that time will come, but for now as she sit here innocent and sweet--I am soaking up every minute of this!
This was a magical day for me and Collette. Having three boys they never would sit in the leaves and play graciously with me---they would stomp through them and throw them at me!! :) I love all my children the same--but the experience shared with my daughter was one that will I remember forever!
God truly has blessed me---I read this saying on another blog and I can't remember which one it was--but she said, "I feel like I am living a life I truly do not deserve!" and lately I have been feeling that way.
Luvs,
Shelby

Oh my goodness, Collette is so adorable!!! I can't believe how big she is getting. Obviously I am a little biased since I only have a little girl, but I do think they are wonderful :)
